| Al Gore's Climate Reality Project's Call to Action Resilience Climate Change Expedition |
| March 15th, 2014, at 9am the Expedition will begin at Alameda’s South Shore Center, highlighting how SSC has become a leader in sustainability and waste management of all 80 Jamestown Properties (owner of over 25 million acres in the US). We will watch a documentary called “Trashed,” a Blenheim Films with Jeremy Irons, showing the impact our daily decisions have on the planet. Then we will go on a tour, hosted by Bay Area Green Tours. They will show us some of the infrastructures we have in the Bay Area to help solve this global crisis. The day will end with a presentation on how we can increase our work of reducing greenhouse gases, followed by an open-panel discussion with some of the experts I interviewed. There will also be an optional dinner atTrabocco, South Shore’s new Italian restaurant, to experience the wonderful flavors of Italy and see how they are doing their part to help solve climate change. |
